I have a top in which the soundhole is not perfectly round. I would like to sand it round. I was looking for a cone inwhich you could add sandpaper to the outside. Anyone know where I could get such a cone??? Or do you have better suggestions for fixing my soundhole Thanks |

How about a funnel? |

That is what I use...a small funnel found in the automotive dept at walmart. I do the top and inside, then a very light sand in the middle by hand. Be careful, as this is not foolproof, and you can put too much pressure on one side. Good luck! Tracy |

I used to sand them by hand, which worked fine, but then I saw this "jig" on Charlie Hoffman's site where he uses a round over bit to profile the sound hole. I built one of these and I really like the results. |

You might find a styrofoam cone at an arts and crafts store. I think people use them to make dolls. |

piece of 3.5 inch drain pipe, wrap sandpaper around it - gets it pretty darn close. |
